There are rumours today that Google will launch its own social network in May.
The network is believed to allow users to share content with people who are members of different social circles of their lives, filtering what content is also shown to each group.
Google are currently refusing to confirm or deny these plans, although Google CEO Eric Schmidt (currently Executive Chairman) has confirmed that a ‘social layer’ is in the making
