Boeing Business Jets (BBJ) displayed a BBJ 3 for the first time at this years show. The airplane was outfitted with it’s custom VIP interior at Jet Aviation in Basel. The BBJ 3 offers a superior range advantage of more than 1500 nautical miles (3 hours) farther than its direct competitor and a lower cabin altitude pressure so passengers feel less jet lagged on arriving at their destination from long haul flights.
The Airbus Corporate Jet Centre’s (ACJC) also used the show as a platform to launch their new ACJ319 Bluejay interior design. The new concept is based around the unique space available in the new Airbus’ ACJ319 and was the creative vision of the head of the company’s creative design studio Sylvain Mariat. The design has been heavily influenced by Stanley Kubrick’s film ‘2001: A Space Odyssey’ inspired heavily by the avant-gardism of shapes and colours in the movie.
On the show’s final day, more than 30 CEOs from area companies joined sponsors EBAA and NBAA at EBACE for a briefing on how business aviation can help their companies compete and succeed. The show organisers coordinated the CEOs’ visit to EBACE with the French/Swiss Chamber of Commerce.
