The annual EBACE (European Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition) event took place at Geneva’s Palexpo Exhibition Centre took place last month between 22nd and 24th May. Rumble Romagnoli attended on behalf of Relevance and made some interesting new acquaintances and contacts within the aviation industry.
EBACE is jointly managed by the European Business Aviation Association (EBAA) and NBAA. It provides three days of networking and the chance to see the latest aircraft hardware, upgrade offerings and more with over 400 exhibiting companies in attendance.
This year focused on environmental best practices and the need for business aviation-specific education and career development opportunities. Additionally, EBAA is working on access to airports and is also encouraging wider adoption of satellite-based precision approaches. The show also held a number of workshops and seminars, including full sessions on the implications of Brexit and a networking event for women in aviation.
The popular static aircraft display was completely sold out and a huge success as usual. Innovative displays such as a holographic display at GDC Technics provided a glimpse of the future in cabin design work. The great display of technology in private jets and business helicopters was evidence of the growth this market is experiencing and also the close-knit community within it.
